ALLFREEPICKS.com has Hockey picks for the NHL only. Our handicappers provide free picks to us to post for our visitors. We do not post picks for Olympic or foreign or minor league Hockey.
Although Hockey is America's least popular of the "four major" sports, we still provide NHL Hockey Picks from time to time. Most of our professional sports handicappers make picks for Hockey.
How to Bet Hockey
You can bet either the money line or the spread in Hockey, much like betting baseball. You can also bet the total (over/under). A Spread bet would look something like this: Detroit RedWings -1.5 (+190). By this token Detroit would have to win by two goals or more to cash in for you. But, you are 'plus' on the money line here so if Detroit wins by two or more, your hundred dollar wager would garner you $190.
Money line Bet for this same example would look like this:
- San Jose +125 (risk 100 to win 125 on the underdog)
- Detroit -145 (risk 145 to win only 100 on the favorite)
Total betting is very much an even bet. Usually the standard 110 to win 100 applies. Most Hockey total over unders are 4 or 5 goals. You have to pick if the game will go over or under that total.
