NFL Betting Preview
New England Patriots (5-0) at Dallas Cowboys (5-0)
Sunday, 4:15 pm Eastern – CBS

SBG Global Opening Line: Patriots -5.5 , Total 52.5

The most talked about matchup of the NFL season so far takes place in Dallas on Sunday as the 5-0 Cowboys host the 5-0 New England Patriots.
This is only the fifth time in league history that two undefeated teams of at least 5-0 have played each other. The last time it happened was in 2004 when the Patriots beat the Jets 13-7. "Both of us are 5-0 - I don't care what the situation is," Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens said. "We're going to be ready on Sunday, period. We're going to play like we've been playing. Nothing's going to change, and nobody's going to come in here and dictate how we're going to play." SBG Global reports that early betting has the public taking the favored Patriots on the Road.

The Patriots have steamrolled their opposition so far, scoring at least 34 points per game and winning by 17 or more in each game. How tough the Patriots’ opposition has been is in question as they have beaten the Jets, San Diego, Buffalo, Cincinnati and Cleveland. Tom Brady threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns last week against Cleveland and Sammy Morris rushed for 102 yards. "We weren't as sharp as we would have liked to have been," Brady said. "We're going to have to come back and learn from our mistakes and try to play better next week." Randy Moss had just three catches for 46 yards, and for the first time this season did not catch a TD pass. He does well in his career against Dallas though. He has 29 catches for 675 yards and 10 TD’s. New England has the second-ranked offense in the NFL as they trail only Dallas in total yardage. Both teams have good defenses as the Patriots rank second in yards allowed while the Cowboys are eighth.

SBG Global Current Line: Patriots -5.5 (-120), Total 53

Dallas will look to play better than they did a week ago when they escaped against Buffalo despite quarterback Tony Romo throwing five interceptions.
"I just think he had a bad day," head coach Wade Phillips said. "I will say this for him: At the end of the game he was still in there. That is what we preach. No matter what the stats are the most important thing is winning the game." Romo is second in the NFL in passing yards behind Brett Favre and one spot ahead of Tom Brady. It is Brady though that has 16 TD passes compared to Romo’s 13. New England is 0-4 all-time at Dallas.

Here are the betting stats for Sunday’s game. The Patriots are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games in October. The Patriots are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games as a road favorite. The Patriots are 37-17-3 ATS in their last 57 games vs. a team with a winning record.

The Cowboys are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as an underdog. The Cowboys are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.

The Over is 6-1 in the Patriots last 7 games as a favorite. The Under is 4-1 in the Patriots last 5 games in October. The Over is 6-1 in the Cowboys last 7 games in October. The Over is 4-1 in the Cowboys last 5 games overall.
The Over is 8-3-1 in the Cowboys last 12 vs. a team with a winning record.

NFL Betting Preview
New Orleans Saints (0-4) at Seattle Seahawks (3-2)
Sunday, 8:15 pm Eastern – NBC

SBG Global Opening Line: Seahawks -7 , Total 41.5

The New Orleans Saints will try and get on the winning track as they travel to take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night. The Saints made it to the NFC Championship game last season but have looked nothing like the quality team they were a year ago. They are now 0-4 after last week’s 16-13 loss to Carolina. "We talked about the expectations all the time and how everybody was ready to embrace the expectations," linebacker Scott Fujita said. "For whatever reason, we haven't responded well to that at all. It's just been kind of a meltdown." The Saints have history to fight as only one team in NFL history has made the playoffs after starting 0-4 since the league went to a 12-team playoff system back in 1990. SBG Global reports that early betting has the public taking Saints on the Road.

"If we continue to make the dumb mistakes, drop as many passes, penalize ourselves on big plays, not take advantage of our field position, then it's hard for the result to change," said Saints' head coach Sean Payton, "There's a lot of blame to go around here and it's not just the kicker. There are a handful of positions that we need to evaluate closely and make sure we're playing the right guys." Running back Reggie Bush had 119 total yards last week but is averaging just 2.9 yards per carry.

SBG Global Current Line: Seahawks -6.5 , Total 42.5

Seattle is tied for first place in the NFC West with Arizona at 3-2 but they are not playing well. They were shutout last week by Pittsburgh 21-0. "This I know: We'll bounce back," head coach Mike Holmgren said. "It's OK. We'll bounce back and keep the thing going." Seattle running back Shaun Alexander had just 25 yards on 11 carries last week. It could be that backup Maurice Morris gets more carries this week. "Mo practices hard. Mo's going to get some more carries," Holmgren said. Seattle will be without wide receiver Deion Branch who is out with a sprained right foot. Fullback Mack Strong retired and will be missed as the lead blocking back. "We've got to get it going ... challenge the players, challenge the coaches, challenge myself," Holmgren said.

Here are the betting stats for Sunday’s game. The Saints are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games in October. The Saints are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Saints are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 vs. the NFC.

The Seahawks are 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 vs. the NFC. The Seahawks are 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games as a favorite. The Seahawks are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a home favorite. The Seahawks are 5-23 ATS in their last 28 games in October.

The Over is 4-1 in the Saints last 5 vs. the NFC. The Under is 4-0 in the Seahawks last 4 games as a home favorite. The Under is 8-2 in the Seahawks last 10 games overall. The Under is 5-2 in the Seahawks last 7 vs. the NFC.
The Under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings between the two teams.
