NCAA Final Four

NCAA Final Four
Georgetown (30-6) vs. Ohio State (34-3)
6:05 pm Eastern
CBS
SBG Global Opening Line: PK, Total 129.5

The battle of the big men has grabbed the attention in the match-up between Georgetown and Ohio State in the Final Four but it could be the other players for both teams that win the game. Jeff Green could be the best player in college basketball and yet you will hear more about Roy Hibbert and Greg Oden than you will about Green. The 6-foot-9 junior forward has what many scouts say is the best all around game of any college player. SBG Global reports that early betting puts the gambling public all over Georgetown laying the points.

"My favorite stat is the assist." He's a great passer," said Ohio State coach Thad Matta, "He can score when they need it. When it comes crunch time, they've shown they can get him the basketball and he can make big plays. He rebounds the ball. He's just extremely talented. He's such a unique matchup because of his size and his skill level."

Georgetown is a 1 point favorite with a total of 130 at SBG Global.

Green's value goes way beyond numbers. He is averaging only 14.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game but all he does is win. "Our main thing is just to limit his touches, to make him take tough shots," Buckeyes guard Ron Lewis said. "If we can limit his touches - that will do great things for us."

Ohio State has their big guy Greg Oden that gets all the press but it could be freshman Mike Conley Jr. that decides the game. Conley hasn't received as much publicity as Oden and hasn’t scored as many points as Ron Lewis, who has averaged 21.8 points per game in the NCAA tournament, but the Buckeyes will only win if Conley plays well. Conley was named the most outstanding player of the South Region. "His poise is beyond his years," said Georgetown coach John Thompson III. "You watch him play. He's an extremely poised player. He doesn't make that many mistakes. He does a very good job of knowing when it's his turn to get baskets as well as when it's his turn to help and assist his teammates."

NCAA Final Four
UCLA (30-5) vs. Florida (33-5)
8:45 pm Eastern
CBS
SBG Global Opening Line: Florida – 3, Total 129.5

The UCLA Bruins and Florida Gators meet in a rematch of last year’s title game that Florida won easily. In order for this game to be different than last year’s the Bruins must play defense. "The bottom line is we know that in order to win these games, you have to play defense," UCLA forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute said. "You look at the Kansas game; we had 25 turnovers and still were able to win. That's our defense.” Early betting on this game has the gambling public placing more bets on UCLA but putting more money on Florida at SBG Global.

The Gators won last year’s game 73-57 and have the same starting lineup that the Bruins couldn’t stop last year. All five starters are scoring in double figures. "They're very talented at every spot and they require a lot of attention," UCLA assistant coach Kerry Keating said. "There's no secret why their numbers are so good. It's going to be a big challenge for our guys. And I think they'll be up to that challenge."

Florida is a 3 point favorite with a total of 130 at SBG Global.

The Bruins finished second in scoring defense in the Pac-10 this season, limiting teams to an average of 59.5 points. They've improved on that in the NCAA tournament, holding all four teams to 55 or fewer points. The Bruins may have an edge this season as Josh Shipp missed last year’s game but is playing superbly this year. "Josh has really, really done a good job defensively for us," coach Ben Howland said.

Florida will try and do what they did last year. There's Humphrey, the 3-point specialist, there’s Corey Brewer, who shut down UCLA's Arron Afflalo during the final last year; there is Joakim Noah, Taurean Green and Al Horford. Florida could be distracted with all of the talk about Billy Donovan being interested in the Kentucky job but so far it has not been an issue. "He really hasn't addressed it to us because we don't think it's a concern," reserve forward Chris Richard said. "If it came down to it, he'd probably talk about it after the season is over. We don't really see that happening."

The Bruins are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games as an underdog. The Bruins are 21-6-1 ATS in their last 28 games as an underdog. The Bruins are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 vs. the SEC. The Bruins are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 NCAA Tournament games. The Bruins are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 non-conference games. The Bruins are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 neutral site games.

The Gators are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 NCAA Tournament games. The Gators are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 NCAA Tournament games as a favorite. The Gators are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games as a favorite. The Gators are 14-5-1 ATS in their last 20 neutral site games as a favorite.

The Under is 4-0 in the Bruins last 4 neutral site games. The Under is 4-0 in the Bruins last 4 overall. The Under is 6-1 in the Bruins last 7 NCAA Tournament games as an underdog. The Over is 4-1 in the Gators last 5 NCAA Tournament games. The Over is 8-3 in the Gators last 11 neutral site games as a favorite.
