New Jersey Nets (22-24) at Orlando Magic (24-22)
8:00 pm Eastern
ESPN
SBG Global Opening Line: Orlando Magic – 2.5
The New Jersey Nets will try and continue their recent dominance against the Magic as the teams meet tonight in Orlando. The Nets have won four straight against the Magic including a 101-94 victory on January 20th. According to SBG Global, early betting has the gambling public riding the New Jersey wave into Orlando taking the Nets plus the points.
Dwight Howard was held to a career low one point in that loss a couple of weeks ago. Howard struggled again Wednesday, managing only six points and seven rebounds but it didn’t matter as the Magic beat Milwaukee 98-73. That was only the 2nd time this season Orlando has won without Howard reaching double figures in either points or rebounding. Howard still ranks third in the league in rebounding at 12.1 per game. "I think he might be a little tired," Magic coach Brian Hill said. "He's played a lot of basketball. It's a legitimate concern. Sometimes, though, when you're going through a tough stretch, you think yourself tired a little bit. It's something we will keep an eye on."
Orlando is a 3.5 point favorite with a total of 186.5 at SBG Global.
New Jersey is coming off a 113-89 whipping at the hands of the Detroit Pistons. "We just had a bad night," Jason Kidd said. "It happens. In 82 games you're going to (hope) that it's just one that you have and tonight was the one coming back from the West Coast trip. It doesn't erase anything. The game was on the schedule. Whether we lost to Detroit by two or however many, it's a loss and you move on." Vince Carter had just 11 points in the loss. Carter had been averaging over 34 points per game in his previous three games.
Carter has averaged 28 points in the last three games against Orlando while Kidd has averaged 17.2 points, 9.2 assists and 8.0 rebounds.
The Nets are 8-2 in their last 10 visits to Orlando. The Nets are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Nets are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games overall. The Nets are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 vs. the Eastern Conference.

Chicago Bulls (26-20) at Seattle Supersonics (17-29)
10:35 pm Eastern
ESPN
SBG Global Opening Line: Chicago Bulls – 2.5
The Chicago Bulls will try and buck their home/away dichotomy tonight as they take on the Supersonics in Seattle. The Bulls have been superb at home but they have been rotten on the road. Chicago is on the 2nd game of a seven game road trip. The Bulls lost the opener of the trip 110-98 at the Clippers. That was the 7th loss in their last 8 road games. "Every time we got close we just had tremendous trouble coming up with anything," Bulls coach Scott Skiles said. "In those moments, being a team on the road and trying to come back, you have to make plays." SBG Global reports that this is one of those games where the gambling public feels the underdog can pull out the victory taking the Bulls laying the points.
The Bulls are 6-14 on the road overall. Chicago may get center Ben Wallace back tonight. He missed the game against the Clippers after injuring his knee Saturday against the Heat. "He's the centerpiece for us," Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich said. "He does so much for us every night." Wallace had 15 points and 20 rebounds in the Bulls' 99-84 win at home over Seattle on Dec. 13th.
Chicago is a 2 point favorite with a total of 201 at SBG Global.
The Sonics lost their 3rd straight on Wednesday 112-102 at Houston. The Sonics lost even though they got another great game out of Ray Allen who had 36 points. Allen leads the team with 26.6 points per game, but no one else on the team is doing anything. He has scored 33.2 points over the last five games, but the Sonics have lost four of those five. "It's small, little stuff that is hurting us," Allen said. "Our guys are learning on the job and it is a group effort. As a team, we have to do better." Allen did not play against the Bulls in their loss earlier this season. He had 47 points in two games against Chicago last season.
The Bulls have dropped three of their last four trips to Seattle. The Bulls are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite. The Bulls are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. the Northwest. The Bulls are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Bulls are 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 Friday games. The favorite is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings between the two teams. The road team is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings but the Bulls are 2-7 ATS in the last 9 meetings.
The SuperSonics are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games as an underdog. The SuperSonics are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games playing on 1 day of rest.
The Under is 6-1 in the Bulls last 7 games as a favorite. The Under is 8-3 in the Bulls last 11 vs. the Western Conference. The Under is 5-2 in the Bulls last 7 overall. The Over is 4-1 in the SuperSonics last 5 games as an underdog. The Under is 10-4-1 in the SuperSonics last 15 vs. the Eastern Conference. The Over is 9-4 in the SuperSonics last 13 home games.
