Cleveland Cavaliers (14-9) at New Jersey Nets (10-14)
8:00 pm Eastern
ESPN
Opening Line: Nets – 2.5
The Cleveland Cavaliers have the third-best record in the East mainly because they are 11-2 at home. The Cavs are just 3-7 away from home and have lost six of their last seven on the road. "I think we kind of press too much (on the road) whereas at home we just play," LeBron James said. "On the road we just press too hard and try not to make a mistake. We have to go out and let loose. Once we figure that out we will be fine." SBG Global reports the betting public has figured out tonight’s game, pounding the Cavs and dropping the line from 2.5 down to 1.
New Jersey is coming off a win Monday against Golden State, just its fifth win in the last 16 games. "I think we paid attention. There weren't any mental breakdowns," Jason Kidd said of the defensive effort. "Every one helped. There was talk. We need that in the fourth quarter." Vince Carter had just 11 points Monday, and is averaging 11.7 points in the last three games. Carter averaged 30.3 points against the Cavs last season.
The Cavs and Nets split their four meetings last season. Cleveland won 108-102 in New Jersey last April to snap an eight-game losing streak at Continental Airlines Arena. James had 37 points in that win, and averaged 31.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists against the Nets last season.
New Jersey is a 1 point favorite with a total of 186 at SBG Global.

Dallas Mavericks at Seattle Supersonics
10:35 pm Eastern
ESPN
Opening Line: Mavericks - 5
The Dallas Mavericks go for their seventh win in a row over the Seattle SuperSonics, losers of five straight overall and still missing their top scorer, Ray Allen. Dallas has won four straight and 18 of 21 after starting the season 0-4. SBG Global reports that the betting public believes Dallas will make it number 5 tonight taking the road team – laying the points.
Dirk Nowitzki continues to lead Dallas with 24.1 points per game but he is getting a lot of help from Josh Howard, who is averaging 23.8 points during the team's four-game winning streak. Howard is also playing defense, something the Mavericks were never known for in the past. Howard has eight blocks in the past four games. The Mavericks are allowing 93.1 per game this season, one of the top marks in the league.
The Sonics are falling apart having lost six straight and 14 of 18. They still don’t have Ray Allen, who has missed the last eight games, and are looking to bounce back from a very tough 134-126 double overtime loss to Memphis last night. It really hurt because Memphis' Chucky Atkins beat the buzzer with a miracle 30-foot shot to force a second overtime. Rashard Lewis had a season-high 36 points last night but only had nine points in his last meeting with Dallas.
Dallas is a 6 point favorite with a total of 192.5 at SBG Global.
The Mavericks are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a road favorite and they are 18-6 ATS in their last 24 road games. The Mavs are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 vs. the Western Conference. The Mavericks are 4-1-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings and the road team is 5-1-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings.
The SuperSonics are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games and they are 5-14-2 ATS in their last 21 vs. the Southwest. The SuperSonics are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning record. The Underdog is 9-4-1 ATS in the last 14 meetings between the two teams.
The Under is 6-1 in the Mavericks last 7 road games. The Under is 32-8 in the Mavericks last 40 vs. the Northwest. The Over is 4-1 in the Mavericks last 5 Wednesday games. The Under is 4-1 in the Mavericks last 5 games as a road favorite and it is 7-2 in the Mavericks last 9 overall. The Under is 5-0 in the SuperSonics last 5 Wednesday games. The Under is 6-2-1 in the SuperSonics last 9 games as an underdog. The Under is 6-0 in the last 6 meetings between the two teams and 4-0 Under in the last 4 meetings in Seattle.
