SBG Global Opening Line: Pistons – 5, Total 182
The Indiana Pacers face a key game tonight at home against the Detroit Pistons. The Pacers are 1.5 games back of the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and desperately need a win tonight. Early money at SBG Global doesn’t show that trend happening tonight, with the public riding heavy on Detroit laying the points.
The Pacers hope to have Jermaine O'Neal back in the lineup tonight. O'Neal missed the Pacers' 100-99 win over San Antonio on Sunday because of a sore left knee. O'Neal is averaging a team-high 19.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, but has missed five of the last 13 games with the injury.
The Detroit Pistons are 5 point favorites with a total of 182 at SBG Global.
Sunday's win over the Spurs snapped a four-game losing streak for Indiana. The Pacers got the game winner from Jamaal Tinsley with just 1.1 seconds left. "It just shows that they're fighting, and some people are openly questioning that," said head coach Rick Carlisle. "I think tonight showed a lot in terms of their belief that this thing isn't over. We preach to our guys continuously, 'Hey, hang in there and give yourself a chance.' Some people are seeing it differently, but not me."
The Pistons are coming off a 94-88 win over Miami on Sunday. Richard Hamilton returned to the lineup after missing four games with a concussion and the flu, and scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half. He, coach Flip Saunders gave credit to the reserves for the win. "Our bench was great - not just from a scoring standpoint, but their energy," he said. "They gave the starters a chance to get some significant rest, and then win the game in the last four minutes."
The Pistons have a 3 1/2-game lead over the Cavaliers in the Central Division. The Pistons lost the first two meetings between these teams this season but got a 98-87 win on January 28th.

SBG Global Opening Line: Lakers – 2.5, Total 220
Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers hope they can increase their lead over the Denver Nuggets in the playoff standings as they meet tonight in Los Angeles. SBG Global reports that the gambling public doesn’t share Kobe’s aspirations, with most early money going on the Nuggets plus the points.
Kobe Bryant is the NBA’s leading scorer and has reached 50 points in four straight games and hit that mark five times in his last seven games. The Lakers did suffer back-to-back losses to Memphis and Houston last week, The Lakers beat Sacramento 126-103 on Sunday, improving to 2-2 on a five-game homestand. Bryant scored just 19 points. "I like seeing my teammates being in a rhythm. I like seeing their confidence. I like seeing them smile," Bryant said. "I don't like to see them second-guessing themselves on their shots or hanging their heads. So tonight was a big game for them to try to get their confidence back and their swagger back a little bit."
The Los Angeles Lakers are 3 point favorites with a total of 219.5 SBG Global.
Los Angeles is sixth place in the Western Conference, 2 1/2 games ahead of seventh-place Denver. The Nuggets are wrapping up a three-game road trip after beating Seattle 114-103 on Sunday.
